Reed Ruddy Personal Epiphany

So today I was writing all these blogs because its the last week of school and I realized that for some reason, although I hate writing papers I really enjoy writing these blogs. I sat for a second and asked myself, why are these fun to write while papers suck. I realized pretty quickly that having the freedom to write not only how I want, but about what I want was what I enjoyed so much about blogs. I have never enjoyed writing except for in two instances. 9th and 11th grade english. The reason I enjoyed these classes so much was because every paper we wrote was a creative writing piece based on whatever we wanted to write about with no limit on pages or word count or anything. I've decided that in order to improve my writing ability I should try and pick topics within the regulations of the teacher that I will still enjoy writing about as opposed to just arbitrarily picking topics I have no perceived interest in. Hopefully this will help me improve my writing grades because...they suck! I have all these math and science credits holding me up and the classes I have the most control over I seem to flounder in. I know I will be able to do better in the future and thanks to the blogs, I know all this now.
