Student Choosing # 4-Chelsea Gilbert

This past summer my family and I traveled to Cooperstown, New York where the Baseball Hall of Fame is located. My family are very avid baseball fans so visiting the Hall of Fame was fun and interesting to us. However, we personally don't view a place like that as "sacred". But there are some people who probably do. For extreme, die hard fans, the Baseball Hall of Fame represents their whole hobby, or maybe even, their whole life. So does this mean they see the Hall of Fame as sacred? I think some people may. The Hall of Fame is full of memorabilia from old games. Things like jerseys, helmets, gloves, bats, balls, and scorecards line the hallways and rooms of the Hall of Fame's building. Many baseball fans would see this stuff as "sacred". Famous baseball players and world champions used these items to win their most notable games. It is interesting how some people see simple places as sacred while others see "sacred" in historical monuments and memorabilia.
