Alan Warden- My Topic #2

As the semester winds down, and all my assignments are being turned in, this is the one i look most forward to doing. This blog assignment has allowed to the chance to be creative and open up my thought process. Most assignments or papers in other classes are predetermined topics or the professor wants it a specific way. This assignment and class for that matter is more open to individual interpretation. I can write about things that mean something to me or run wild with thoughts and not be penalized. This class has allowed me to open my brain up and find out stuff about myself. Working on the research paper has opened my eyes to many things, at first my choice of topic was stupid and a dead end. I then picked a topic that was more in line with my thoughts and feelings. Also my prior knowledge on my topic allowed for greater thought and reflection. One thing that this class brought back to the educational system is creativity. The school systems now a days prepare you for tests or focus on scores. Basically crushing the creativity of kids across the country, making them mindless drowns focused on SAT's and other test scores. This assignment might be good for everyone to do and allow some creativity back into schools.
