Reed Ruddy How to Break a Terrorist
This book is the one that got me hooked on the topic altogether and it is especially interesting to see someone working in a field which I may someday be interested in working myself. Although I read this book strictly for pleasure it lead me to wonder more about the culture that is heavily dissected throughout the book. The interesting reactions and family and religious priorities of the culture not only intrigued me, but they also impressed me. Many times I wish that America had more unity when it came to religious beliefs and for a culture, not void of problems of course, to be able to put family first and focus on the things that truly matter (opinion of course) is respectable although their tactics are definitely being called into question. This book led me to the book Understanding Jihad which I blogged on earlier and it really opened me up to a completely new culture and way of thinking so I guess I owe it to this book that I had a topic to write my thesis on. Thanks.
