--clouds screaming black and gray
the blue of the daytime sky
Diminishing.
The threat of rain is omnipresent
O great deity --
elements of water and air
Don't ruin my parade.
Today is mine.
I grab my keys and
make a run for it.
Steady breeze--
grays turning red
lightning illuminates the black
--sunbursts of pink and purple
Most hide out
--afraid of nature
of its overwhelming power
threatening to swallow our existance whole
Not I.
No...
I go out to greet her
Into the storm
to proudly shake her hand."
This is a poem I wrote about a storm that hit yesterday. Seeing as it was a poetry about nature and we get four topics of our choosing, decided to create four poems inspired by nature. Mostly, the elements. This one is for Air. Since it didn't actually rain while I was out in the storm, I figured this would be the first. ^.^
