Brynne Valla--Topic of my choice #2
One nature based religion that I decided to find out more about was Druidry. According to one website, "Druidry is an ancient Celtic religion, which holds the Earth and the environment as being sacred. They also promote a morality based on truth, honor, strength, and justice. Druidry honors the pantheon of Celtic Gods and Goddesses and also encourage ecological consciousness." I think this is an interesting type of spirituality to hold. There is no means of salvation, no prophet or set of codes to emulate. Instead, this earth religion is all bout living morally and honoring deities with ecological consciousness. I had never heard of this pagan belief until I just stumbled across it. However, I think it would be interesting to hear exactly what a Druid believes and does with his or her spiritual beliefs.
