Brynne Valla--Topic of my choice #1
Recently I read an article about pantheism. I did not know much about it previously, but I knew that pantheism was essentially being able to find God in everything, specifically Nature. In the article, it talked about what makes someone a pantheist. It seems to me that if you have some sort of reverence for Nature and some acknowledgement of a supreme being, then you can consider yourself a pantheist. However, pantheists believe that God is not a transcendent, supreme being. They consider him to be in everything and anyone--therefore, he is not just sitting in the Heavens looking down on his creation. I suppose this qualifier is what throws a lot of people out of calling themselves pantheists. Still, it's an interesting belief and take on religion and Nature.
