Kim Robinson - Outside reading # 3

Into Thin Air by John Krakauer

So as said I have been reading this book over the semester. I had to read Into the Wild before coming to school my freshman year and enjoyed it. Since then the movie Into the Wild has become one of my favorites (mainly because my friend Chris watched it just about everytime we hung out). Since I like that book so much I started reading Into Thin Air about Krakauer's time climbing Everest. I know that we are suppose to pick quotes that make us think of a certain thought, but it's these type of books that every line has me thinking of something different. Each new paragraph I read evokes thoughts and desires that I never thought I had. I guess it is because of the fact that I have never experienced anything like those events. I haven't gotten through the majority of the book yet because of other schoolwork but I plan on this summer finishing it as soon as I get back from hiking. Maybe then the words that I read will have a different effect on me because I have been out in nature, even though it's two completely different definitions of nature.
