Jacquelyn Powell - Choice 3

Camping
To go along with the idea of hiking the Appalachian Trail, I have also always wanted to go camping. Not just sort of camping but true camping where you really don’t have much of anything and you are stuck out in the middle of who-knows-where. I think this summer I am going camping in Florida for a week or so. The site has showers and such so I won’t be completely thrown into the camping idea blindfolded but it’s still going to be a culture shock within my own culture. Eventually, maybe this Fall, I am making a trip up to the mountains and camping at a small site with some friends because even they believe I need an experience like that. It will be interesting to see how I deal with not having a toilet or shower or electricity or cellphone or anything at all really. I hope I survive it…
