Kelsey Woods- Experience
A few weeks ago while I was visiting my home, I was having a really rough day and decided to visit Dickey's Ridge in Shenendoah State Park where I fruequently enjoy my weekends in the summers. I got out of my car about to do my usual breif hike and realized that I was extremly unprepaired for the chilly weather. I got back in my hot pink low-rider pick up truck and went to the nearst over look. As i was sitting there taking in the veiw, I let out a long sigh. In class we had been talking about how the ocean was the last true wilderness and I always had a problem with this becuase you had to be in a man made vessel to reach it, but in this moment I realized I had accomplised just that. With just a slight breeze coming in the window and an expansive view infront of me, I managed to achieve almost the same level of serenity I usually did sitting on a secluded rock a few miles away from the mian road.
