Brynne Valla--Outside Reading #3

My final outside reading is about Darwin's interaction with wildlife and nature in the Galapagos Islands. The reading talks about how Darwin realized that adaptations were necessary for the strongest of each species of wildlife to survive. Furthermore, it states how evolution, as we know it today, became an alternative view to Creationism and ultimately provided another theory to how the world began. I find it interesting that Darwin's study of nature is used as a replacement to Creationism. By studying nature's elements, he drew the conclusion that these animals evolved on their own. Normally when I look at nature or animals as Darwin did, I see God and Creation. I do not see how these things can be the result of random chance or science. Therefore, this reading was interesting to me because it proves that people can go into nature and experience completely different things. Darwin would testify to nature's inherent scientific abilities while I might argue that nature holds spiritual origins.
