Chrissy Jackson: Lion's Gate Bridge

So this year, a friend of min and I went the the Lion's Gate Bridge at 3 a.m. to watch the sunrise. I'm not sure why we went so early, but I think it was because we hadn't gone to bed yet, and if we tried to wake up early and walk there it just waouldn't have happened :) We hit up Teeter for some fruit and then walked down there and waited for the next three or four hours.

It was a really cool experience; I had never stayed up all night to watch a sunrise. It was completely dark and we hadn't brought a flashlight. All we had was a blanket to sit on, some water, fruit, and another blanket for each of us. It didn't feel like camping; it felt more adventurous! Maybe it was because I was pulling an all-nighter, or maybe it was because I was out of my room waaaaay past curfew, or maybe it was because I just felt plain, old sneaky.

The sun coming up was very beautiful. I remember all the colors: orange, blue, pink, purple. Colors that you wouldn't thin kwould look good together, and yet somehow they all seemed to fit.
