Brendan McElroy #3 Outside Reading

“The diversity of the Great Barrier Reef is truly stunning, housing close to 1,500 species of fish and thousands of other forms of life such as clams, corals, snails, crustaceans, and echinoderms like starfish. Some of the species found here are believed to be found no where else in the world.”
1,500 different types of fish? I think this is truly amazing that we have recorded knowing all of these fish. How amazing must have it been for that person that was given the opportunity go submerge deep in the ocean and swim with these animals. Just imagine 1500 different fish swimming around you as you try to catch a small glimpse of each one of them, and document as much as you can for each. How great is it to know that all of this was created. Each of these are unique in their own way, all dependent on different things, but bound by the necessity of the ocean in order to live. Simply amazing.
