Reed Ruddy - Walk in the woods

The other day we walked in the woods and I found it very interesting to be outside in the park for the day. As we walked we continually stopped to look at things and I wasn't really paying attention to what Dr. Redick was saying because I kept finding other things to look at. One of my favorite things to look at was right at the beginning of our class and it was a giant swarm of ants around an ant hill. As I watched them I kept thinking about how our perception of the world is so drastically different from what an ants perception would be. To an ant the world is a field that we consider to be almost nothing. I then began to think of what ants must perceive as tiny. Just like we consider ants tiny, there must be something that ants consider tiny and I sat there and thought about how this never ending cycle must lead to the elements that construct everything in the world. I felt like Alex yesterday because of this tripped out thought.
