Nicole Jacobs - Making Nature Sacred #1

In Gatta's book he describes Thomas Tillam's adventure onto New England's holy land. Tilliam approached the wilderness as a blessing, he was retreating from civilization and was enlightened as he entered "sacred land." I can relate the same feelings Tilliam obtained when he entered the new land as I did when I approached the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. This national park consisted of a completely different scene than I had been introduced to previously. The cooler air, the mountains and the wildlife all granted me a spiritual experience and vacation from the civilization across the nation.
