Nicole Jacobs - Landscapes of the Sacred #3

Another axiom Lane discusses in the book is "a sacred place can be tread upon but not entered." Recently I read the short book, Siddhartha, where in the book this young ambitious young man dedicates his life searching for enlightenment. At the end of his book and life Siddhartha achieves enlightenment while observing the river that him and his new companion worked along for years. Again, Siddhartha lived alongside the river with his friend, however, up until his moment of enlightenment the river had little to no religious significance, however following the enlightenment the river suddenly obtained great religious value.
