Melissa Morewitz- Topic of My Choice #2

There are few people in your life who really inspire you, and one of those people for me is one of my good friend's dads. His job is to basically create leaders for big companies and there is nothing he is better at than motivating people. One of the most inspiring and simple things I ever heard him say was: "There are two extremely important days in your life: the day that you are born and the day you figure out why you were born." As a college student who is NOT ready to leave the nest, this scared me but also made me want to decide what it really is that I am here for. There are people who are here to spread faith, people who are here to push science and technology to outrageous new limits, there are people here to save the earth and it's wildlife, etc. I still have NO clue what I want to do. He said to start by thinking about things we are good at and that we enjoy doing and that eventually, a life we love will fall into place. This also got me to thinking: what if I never figure out why I'm on this Earth? Is there one thing I'm meant to do here and if I don't find it will I inevitably be unhappy? I know college is where I'm supposed to figure out the rest of my life but what happens if I don't!
