Chelsea Gilbert-Landscapes of the Sacred

When talking about property one time, Dorothy Day said, "the more common it becomes, the more holy it is." I don't necessarily find this to be true. Yes, in todays society people often "worship" the most popular singers, actors, etc. but when you ask people about their favorite, most personal place to visit, typically they will tell you somewhere you've never heard of. They are places that are meaningful to them and only them. Like a bedroom, backyard, local park, or an ordinary mountaintop. A place doesn't need many followers to be seen as "holy", it already is if you believe it is.
