Austin Mesick-The Walk Down the Nolland

On our trip down the Noland trail I saw a lot of interesting things that exhibited the constant changes in nature. The first interesting thing that we saw was the presence of domesticated plants. These domestic plants are usually planted by an outside source. Although it is a nature park, this means that humans have interfered with nature. During our walk we saw all the natural beauty that nature had to offer us. While we were walking we saw some flowers that had recently been soaked with a light rain shower. Dr. Redick explained to us that the day before, the same flowers were covered in pollen, disguising the flowers true beauty. This brings to my attention on how often in nature there are changes. One day, the flowers are covered in pollen can have a difference appearance and the next they look completely different. This was a fun class down the Nolland trail, many things were brought to my attention that I might of never noticed.
