Adam Kimmel - Natural Setting : The Noland Trail

Earlier this year my girlfriend and I decided to go on a walk on the Noland trail. This was the first time I had ever gone there and I really wasn't to excited but I decided it would be something better to do then sit around the dorm all day. About half a mile into the trail I was struck with the beauty of the the place. The way the sun was hitting the water and the beautiful fall colored leaves on the trees and ground really had a impact on me. I immediately fell in love with the place. Being alone in the the wilderness with someone I truly care about really had a impact on me. Ever since that day I often go on walks to the the trail to get away from the pressure of school. My whole life I have always relaxed by playing video games or surfing on the Internet, but I now have a greater appreciation of how the wilderness can be used as healing mechanism and I know I can now use it to help me through more difficult parts of my life.
