Tyler Million - Outside reading #2

Another book I’ve read this semester is Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. The Guide is one of my favorite books of all time and while I was just reading it again for pleasure I found myself thinking about many of the concepts from this class while I was reading. Space is undoubtedly a form of wilderness and the crew of the Heart of Gold finds themselves lost in space on many occasions. Usually when they are lost in space Adams fills in the space with excerpts from the guide to describe random things, I found however that these random quips usually involve god in some way. While I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, it seems to me that Adams was associating wilderness with God.
