Tyler Million - Africa

In class we talked about many forms of wilderness, and many sacred places across the world. However one place that was never mentioned in class was Africa. I lived in Nairobi, Kenya for 2 years when I was younger and Africa holds a special place in my heart. Kenya, like most of sub-Saharan Africa, is mostly savannah with the Great Rift Valley running right through it; so the majority of the country is wild. While there are not many major sacred places there the land itself is sacred to all of the country’s people. Beyond this the shore is covered with churches, mosques, and other symbols of religion as countless colonists brought their religion to this unexplored land.
