Brendan McElroy #2 Landscapes of the Sacred

“Sacred Place…is transformed by the imagination to that which is awe-inspiring and grand.”
So many times, I have gone into the wilderness without an open mind, and taking advantage of what I could gain from it. Usually, I never even think of what the wilderness has to offer and just go about my own plans. However, after taking this class and reading this book, I have a much different outlook on these experiences. I now find myself looking for more to come from the wilderness. Searching deep and imaging what could happen in certain places. Many of these times, it has been my imagination which has allowed me to understand this differently. I have had many experiences in new places, that I can now call sacred because of my imagination. It is what has helped make my experiences sacred and grand.
