Alan Warden- Outside Reading #2

The United Nations released an Article dealing with religious teaching limits in Macedonia. Macedonia recently had a court decision that will restrict religious teachings in public schools. The problem is that under their laws religion is separate from state but equal to the law. The government remains saying that the ruling doesn't keep people from obtaining religious teachings outside of schools just in schools. I agree with this ruling though only cause there should be a separating of church and state. I am taking a religious based class but not learning a particular religion, just understanding. Part of the problem in Macedonia is that it is so diverse, parents of other religions not being taught in class was complaining. The freedom of expression is allowed but not the action of hatred or discrimination due to religion or anything else. A hearing wont take place until 2010 to resolve this issue however i can understand the arguments for both sides, but their not banning it from society, just schools.
