Nicole Jacobs - Outside Reading #3

Recently I have devoted a great deal of my time indulging in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. Although these books about a vampire love story are obviously fictional, the wilderness it occurs in is truly breathtaking. One of my best and closet friends has been living in Washington Sate for some time now and lives only a few minuets away from the town these stories take place in, Forks. Just as it is described in the book, this highly unpopulated town consists of more wildlife than people and is draped in a green moss that encourages nature to remain, for the most part, untouched. The green moss is surrounded by deep deep forests that trap an endless fog, rain and erie mist about the town. However, it is in the most erie and isolating situations that the most beautiful landscapes come into view. This description can be applied nearly everywhere, it consists of patience, meditation and surprise. Nature's most sacred aspects reveal themselves both when it is ready and when the individual is least expecting it, despite how fictional the character might be.
