nicole Jacobs - Natural Setting #2
A sacred experience I witnessed this year began just as the weather began to warm up. My friend and I camped outside her apartment, which happens to be right beside the James River. As we were lying there next the to bank at night, under the stars, I was able to listen to nature sing. The crickets were rejoicing, the water was rippling, frogs humming and critters were laughing. The night is often regarded as a frightful and unseen nightmare, but when one can sit back, relax, and drift off to the beautiful landscape illuminated by dim lights of the moon and stars reflecting off the water. Also, the lullaby of the creatures is absolutely beautiful, it is in sync and if one was indoors on the same night would have easily missed out and disregarded the serenity outside their window.
