Jacquelyn Powell - Outdoor 2
Last night was cold, but gorgeous. Me and a few friends went out to Deltaville last night and even though it was pretty cold, we decided to lay out on the beach and look at the stars. It really is a shame you can’t see them more in Newport News because they are so pretty. Anyways, we grabbed a blanket or two from the car and walked down to the water and lay down on the sand looking up and taking everything in. It’s really amazing how huge the sky really is, it’s infinite. While we were lying out there, we saw a few shooting stars which were really cool. We also pointed out Venus and some of the better-known constellations. The best part about it though was listening to the waves crashing on the beach. I think that’s the sound I miss the most from my childhood especially since I grew up in Deltaville. This summer I hope to go there more often to just relax, and fish, and go out on the boat, and swim.
