Colleen Cook Disneyland

One day in class we talked about how places are sacred. One place we talked about was Disneyland and why it is a sacred place. We talked about how it is a special place because people usually go there for vacation. They use it as a place to celebrate their success and buying things there that cost a lot. It shows they have power when they buy lots of gifts. For some people, going to Disneyland or Cedar Point is a ritual where they go annually. Or even multiple times in one year, the richer people can do that. It was interesting to think of a place made out to be for kids and fun times can be considered a sacred place for others or for the kids too.
