Bryan Deel Outside Reading: Rites of Passage
Rites of Passage, a non-profit organization, reintroduces “meaningful rites of passage for people of the modern world, so that they may be able to mark and celebrate important life transitions with courage, strength and wisdom” (Anderson). This organization focuses on the strong bond between humans and the natural world and how time spent nature develops our character. To experience this connection to the wilderness, one must succumb to the earth itself and allow it to guide us and shape our lives.
